Celebrating Engineers and Volunteers

ASME’s mission is to advance engineering for the benefit of humanity. One of the ways the Society and its many sister associations do this is by supporting and organizing the efforts of many thousands of dedicated volunteers around the world.

Volunteering helps inspire the next generation of engineers and gives members opportunities to apply their skills beyond the office. Here at ASME, volunteers also contribute to Codes & Standards development as well as policy and government decision-making.

Plus, volunteering often coincides with many national and international celebrations that honor engineers across professions.
